seadoo tool 1999 gti flooating seal assembly

I am replacing the floating seal assembly on my 1999 gti, it started taking on water and I found it to be worn..My question is is there an alternative clamp tp the ones that are on the fly wheel boot...The manual says you need to separate tools for each clamp and just one of the tools is $100.00 I am not spending that....I ordered the clamps does anyone have any experience with these if so any help , suggestions etc...would be appreciated
