Last summer my 2006 seadoo rxp ran fine, today I go to run it after putting a new battery and it does not have any power. It runs great, idles great, just doesnt have any power. I just put a new battery in like 2 weeks ago, because the old battery didnt hold a charge. Today (6-1-09) I sucked out all the old gas and put new gas in it. The ski runs completely fine except that it runs at full throttle 6400 rpm at 50 mph. Can someone please help me with this issue. thanks

I have 2006 RXT which I bought 18 months ago, first day out all going great, 15 minutes into ride lost RPM's to 6500 and speed to 80 kph. It ended up being the super charger hose had come off one end and engine lost boost. put the hose back on with a new clamp and were all good again.
Good luck

fixed the problem

Just if anyone has a similar problem, I figured out the problem that the Seadoo dealer could not even figure out. It was the to little clutch washers on the supercharger drive shaft. I ordered two new ones from rivamotorsports.com, put them on, now the ski runs just like new! It was a simple fix after I figured out what it was.

lol think i mentioned that it was a supercharger problem  how many hrs on the ski and did the washer fail or just wore real bad? if they failed you need to remove & replace the oil pumps and flush the motor
