??? I purchased a 1998 challenger last year at end of season. The previous owner used a 2 cycle oil that is not recommended in the owners manual. The manual recommends bombadier rotax injection oil. I still have about a half galllon of I believe tcw-3 ? oil in the resevoir(tank). Is it O.K. to add the recommended oil to the inferior oil. Thanks

no...it be best to drain it, but can get away with just "bastering" out the res. tank, then fill'n it w/ the good stuff.

You need to drain and replace with the recommended oil.

I got one of the fluid transfer pumps and drained the oil out of my boat when I first purchased it. The guy before purchased multiple oils and just used what ever he could get his hands on. So need less to say yeah drain it and fill with the good stuff. I don't know if it made a difference to my boat to drain the oil at that point from the last owners engine irresponisiblity.

Most all oils made today mix without any problems. At least that is what I have read and I have never had any problems. Amsoil also makes a good oil that meets seadoo API-TC specs, interceptor. It does not gunk up the RAVEs as much either. Delivered to your door and if you sign up as a preferred customer you save a lot of money.

Yes, I do burn only the recommended oil, but I'm not paying $70 per gal again at dealer like I did once when on vacation.

Aint that the truth I just got a jug from Banners $75 :cuss: :bs:

But anyway you dont need to "suck" the oil out of reservoir the 2 lines that come off the bottom are pretty easy to get off just take the most bottom one off & it will drain & save you alot of time..

:hurray: Thanks for the good advice and quick responses. Right now the exhaust is very smokey hopefully it will burn cleaner.
