hello everyone i’m new here but i figured this would be the best place to find answers to my questions so first off i have recently bought a 2001 seadoo gtx di and the person who sold it to me said that it needed a fuel pump to run so i replaced the fuel pump and it will prime and fire but won’t run if y’all have any ideas please let me know. thanks!

LOL, classic person selling a DI line, "It just needs a fuel pump" followed by "It just needs a battery".

Fuel pressure is critical on a DI ski and just as critical is electrical system voltage. The aftermarket pumps pull too much power and basically the electrical system gets a brown-out and can't function.

I haven't seen anyone have any lasting success with the aftermarket fuel pumps and the OEM ones are $1,000 which is why people typically unload a non-running DI.

Some have had luck cleaning an OEM pump and getting it working by running it on the bench with a mixture of 50/50 gas and Toluene.

Probably not enough fuel pressure.

Your going to have to test the fuel pressure. Has to be exactly 107 and steady.

Check your rave solenoid and make sure all the hoses are connected and not damaged. Make sure the check valve on the line to the engine casing is holding. That line goes to the rave solenoid. I second the fuel pressue test

A CanDooPro ($400) will tell you what the code is, but you are betting off focusing on fuel pressure first. If that checks out, move on to chasing the code.

A friend brought me a RX DI last year. All it would do was idle and wouldn't run really bad when the throttle was advanced. I noticed the small black line was off the rave solenoid. Plugged that baby in and VIOLA ran like a champ. LOL That doesn't happen often. LOL
