I have a seadoo challenger and was wondering if anyone has pulled off a big wake by using fat sacks. if so where did you put them and do you have any pics. how big was the wake?

you can definitely achieve big wake using fat sacks. Any weight you can add to your boat is going to improve the wake. I would run the majority of the weight in the rear for the bigger wake and possibly some up towards the middle of the boat to sculpt the wake. Sorry i don't have any pictures.

Thanks for the reply so I can just lay them behind the driver and passanger seats and maybe one in the ski locker. I would like to put one way in the back but I dont think its safe to put i back there were the engine is b/c it may roll around. What do think. where do you place yours?

Typically they get put into the ski locker on either/both sides of the boat. Does your boat have a separate compartment for the engine? I would definitely stay out of the engine compartment for obvious reasons. The fat sack could shift into the motor and either cause a problem there or lay against something hot and melt spilling all the water.

They make all different shapes and sizes of fat sacks. If i were you i would do some research on what will give you the most weight without taking up all the space on your boat.

Here is a couple good web sites that will give you good info of styles and good placements

Not sure if this site is the cheapest price, however it will give you a idea of the styles available.

after this weekend ill post some pics of the wake before and after 1000lb of fatsac ballast.

I suggest you stick them under the rear seats if you can. Ski locker would be ok.

If you're trying to get the wake fat then you want the weight as far back as possible.

Heres a really great link that helps uncover the art of getting the "perfect wake" - http://wakeworld.com/Tricklist/TrickTip029.asp

thanks, I guess I will have to lay them on the floor in the back because on the 01 challenger 1800 the ski locker is in the floor between the driver and passenger which I guess I could put one in there also. On that year challenger the storage compartment in the back covers the engine and its made of plastic so I doubt it would hold any great weight. I look forward to seeing the pics

did you end up getting any fat sac for your boat i have the same thing and am woundering the same questions what can i do and where can i put it?
