Seadoo 800 Starter Questions

I have several used starters and am seeing the following issues:

1. 1 starter turns when powered but the bendix is not moving. I've taken it apart and there is no build up under the bendix. What can cause this?
2. Another starter I rebuilt ran fine outside of the ski. Once installed in the ski, it failed. I took it out and apart and the copper wire connecting brush to bolt had burned through. Could that be a ski issue or is it the starter/rebuild kit?
3. How necessary is the bracket?

3. The bendix can't be rebuilt so get a good used OEM one.
2. Sounds like bad rebuild or cheap chinese brush kits.
3. You need the bracket.

If you are not sure the starters are OEM then throw then in the trash where they belong.

So if the bendix is not moving, the bendix is the issue?

They are OEM, I've been scared off new starters
