i have 2 3d. one of them is much slower out of the hole. once it planes out it will move along ok. when pressing WOT it will take a couple seconds then slowly get to top end. it never really bogs down and it does it top end. when pressing WOT the engine doesnt rev any higher until after a couple seconds then will go faster then start to hit top end. out of the hold is the same. pressing the throttle all teh way down it gets out of the water but not really well. doesnt jump out like my other 3d. would RAVE valves affect this?

The RAVE valves shouldn’t be coming into play until you’re up around 4-5000 rpm. I would think this is a fueling issue, but the first thing I would do is check your compression. If that’s okay, move on to the fuel system...

It could be a few different things, but that’s the most likely issue. Pull your spark plugs and post some pictures... That will tell us whether you’re going rich or lean...

Huh?, assuming the spark plug HAD a gap and wasn't installed with NO GAP...how did the gap close??? That's a mystery.....the pistons can't touch the plugs with a domed combustion chamber...right?
yeah not sure. it is really hard to describe what is happening with it. when you hold down the throttle it is like it is working to get up RPM. doesnt bog down at all. gets to plane little slow. then when on plane it you go WOT it literally just takes a couple seconds to do anything. but then it will take off. almost like a TPS. if it was fuel wouldnt it struggle when trying to get to top speed?

You need to get a compression gauge on it first thing. The only thing that would cause a plug gap to close like that is debris in the cylinder. A piston is the most likely place to get debris from...
As for fueling, a lean condition will cause hesitation, and a rich condition will load it up with fuel, which then has to burn off before the motor picks up the revs. There are quite a few different causes of a delay between throttle input and the motor revving, but most of them are fuel related on these motors.
