Seems to start ok and run fine til you come back to the dock. then try to start it again. it turns over but will not start. if you let it sit over night seems to work ok. pulled the new plugs and they are very black. almost like it is getting too much oil or gas. any ideas?

Check your oil pump adjustment marks.

If you take the seat off will it restart? Possible exhaust leak choking engine out.

Other than that on an injected ski possible defective fuel injectors?

i will check the oil pump adjustment. it is a 3d so i have to open up the cover to see if it is leak. any way to test the last 2?

Run it on the trailer with the hatch open and look for exhaust leaks.

As for the injectors you will have to take them to a specialist that can test and clean them.

I have the exact same problem. I have taken it to the Sea-Doo (Team CC) dealer 3 times and they tell me it has no error codes, starts OK, the fuel pump pressure meats specs, there are no compression issues, and it runs for them in their tank; they have no idea. Each visit is a 10 day processs....the last tech told me it could be a "rotary valve" issue and "you can't get those anymore"......I'm frustrated. My sled starts perfectly, runs like a bat out of hell...but IF you shut it off or idle it for too long after it has run for a while it will not start. Sometimes when it won't start in water...if I pull it out of the water (float dock) it will start, and keep running and you can put it back in the water immediately and ride it. No matter what, once it is going it goes great. But if you turn it off you are stuck wherever you are. If you let it idle it feels sluggish and may quit--again, if it quits it won't start. When that happens puling the plugs reveal they look very wet; almost like it is getting too much gas. The last time I took it to the dealer he "cleaned the spark arrestor" and said he was sure that was the problem....it wasn't..

i took it in and this time they actually pulled a code. it was some controller of some kind. they pulled one from another ski and it seeems to run ok. they could not get it to fault out like i did, not being able to start. but they said it was cutting out when it got warm. said it was shoring out the injectors when it got warm. not sure why that would only happen after you stop it but we will see. $800 for a ski that is worth 1500.
