gOOD MORNING FORUM

Good morning forum, rebuilt my 01 DI engine over the winter and spring, everything was by the book, all torque values strictly adhered to, all sealants correct, oil pump is set to the largest of the two marks on the oil pump, to run the engine a little rich, cylinders/ pistons from WSM , all fliud lines are new, IM AT MY WITTS END, i do everything the service manuals say to do, its been fix one problem another one pops up about the only thing that hasnt been replaced on both of them is the hull lmao

the issue has to be i guess in the oil pump adjustment, its just hard to beleiv that is pumping that much oil into the cylinders input from anyone is greatly appreciated

Has to be oil injection pump or check valves leaking. There is no oil bath and inner crank seals leaking like the rotary valve engines.

The check valves are the brass pieces that connect the small oil line to the engine. There is a ball/spring that will fail open and allow oil to get into the engine. Replacing should fix it. I believe they are about $40.00.
