Safety switch help

My 1996 spx has a 2 wire non dess safety switch... I am buying a new computer and it says that it uses a dess key but it dosnt need programmed... my question is all the dess switches I have seen have 3 wires... so where does the third wire go

That doesn't sound right. I've never heard of a DESS key that doesn't need programming. I would avoid any aftermarket mpem and find a good used OEM

Sounds like you have the wrong MPEM for your ski and as said above the aftermarket MPEM's are questionable.
