Sacrificial anode?

I'm learning about watercraft and came across info on the sacrificial anodes. I recently purchased two 2005 GTX's, and wondering if the anode on the ride plate is the only one on the ski? It doesn't look very deteriorated, but I'll hit it with a wire brush anyway and make sure the metal contact surface and threads are clean. There's some light corrossion under the ride plate and on the intake grate but I think it's just from them sitting. The only other thing is the black paint on the spring loaded rear step bar brackets is peeling off too. Not sure if this is an anode issue or just that they had sat for a while. Mainly, just want to know if there are other anodes and if so where? Thanks.

I had this same question because I was only 'aware' of 1 anode on mine....and the dealer said they needed to replace 2 on mine. But you can search on partzilla site and I was able to nagivate my exact sea doo (2020 gti se 170) and on the propulsion system you see where both anodes are.

There is one on the 'riding plate' which is quite easily to access/replace. The other one (at least for mine) is on the impeller housing (which you can see in the schematic). Unfortunately, I cannot recall how easily that one is to replace and mine is at the dealer 1k miles away! I will see how easily it is to get to next time I go down.

Thanks for that reply. I wasn't even sure how to tell if they need replaced. We just moved from the gulf coast to WV and just took the skis out for the first time since moving here. I'm amazed everytime how good they run being 17 years old. The only issue we have is sometimes they don't wanna start on the first or second try, but if you give it a touch of throttle they fire right up.
