Let me start by saying that I do plan on pulling several threads together into a single "results" thread around my fishfinder install. Until then, I still have some work to do. So far, I've installed the mount on the left side of the helm through the fiberglass and drill a hole for the wires to run through.
Now, I need to power it up. From what I can tell, SeaDoo didn't really provide a fuse box with extra connections on my '08 Utopia and it seems like every spot is taken (my accessory spot is taken up with an amp to drive the speakers on my wake tower). So, my options are to run power all the way back directly to the battery with an inline fuse or power up another fuse box inside the helm and allow for any future connections.
Has anyone done one or the other (or both)? If the latter, where did you mount the extra fuse panel and how did you wire it up? All pics appreciated.
