Hello,
So I took in a ski line to the starboard motor on my 98 speedster last night. I was at an idle when it happened so I'm hoping for minimum damage.
I have the rope cut out out and it sounded strange kinda growly when cranking on the power, so I shut it down a came in on one. After looking thru from the back with the reverse plate up I could see about 5" of the shaft sleeve and pulled it out. I will try tonight to see if all is well.

Any input would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

If it still is doing it, there's either:

1. Rope still behind the impeller, that you cannot physically see unless you pull the pump.
2. Damage has been done to the wear ring.
3. Damage has been done to the impeller.

Also welcome to the site, although this isn't the section for seadoo help.

Thanks for the reply, ended up ok after removing the plastic shaft sleeve. Sorry about posting in the wrong section.
Rookie move!
