not even 2 hours after bringing it back from a wear ring replacement we sucked up rocks into the impellar again. So im sure the wear ring is cooked....again, but I want to get the rocks out of there, they are really wedged between the impellar and wear ring.
Any tips on getting them out? Ive been using chisel, long screw driver, wire hanger, and theres just one rock left in there that wont budge. Its on the front side of the impellar (the grate side) I really dont want to have to take the pump off to get at it. Seeing as how ive never done it and i dont have extensions long enough to take the pump off.
To top it off, one of the bolts holding the grate is stripped and just spinning inside the housing. I cant get it out so the grate wont come off, unless i drill out the bolt out and retap...which i dont have tools for.
Is there any tricks to pull rocks out without ripping apart the machine that im not aware of?
