This is the idea I came up with. I call it HatCAM!!!
drilled a hole in my baseball cap, ran a bolt through it with a nut on bottom, and mount my waterproof camera with video onto it.
Haven't used it on the water yet, but use it periodically in my car.
It sees what you see, once you learn to wear the hat at the correct angle.
That way you aren't looking and the dash cluster and instead can see the lake, and hands are completely free.
