Just picked up a 2000 LRV. The shifter will not shift into reverse. After some inspection I found that the shifter is not pushing back far enough to depress the reverse clip that keeps the bucket up while going forward. The adjust to the linkage at the bucket is as tight as it can be. Can’t really tell if there is an adjustment at the front. Anyone know? Wondering if the cable is old and stretched.

What I like to do with steering/reverse link issues is to disconnect the cables at the pump. This allows me to check for binding on the cable, if this checks out correct, no binding, then I check in the pump/ventury area (without the cables being connected), for binding issues/bent cable/ etc..it is a common error to make cable adjustments from the pump end, you want as little thread showing on the connections, or they will bend. Make your adjustments at the front steering end.
