What I like in my speedster is to go 3/4 -WOT then, when i'm near a wave, drop the engines to idle, put it in reverse and floor it WOT and get most of the wave right in my face, then 1 foot of water in the boat.
My reverse cable jammed then snapped last time i went on the river. Just after I did that. It was already a little hard to get on FWD position sometimes so it might be a coincidense. Do this manipulation break my new cable or there's nothing to worry about?
In my mind, I think the grate's bushing would take the beating but what about the cable?. I don't force it, there,s no gears, it's fully in reverse before I give it throttle again.
I hope it won't break my new one, this is what I like the most about this boat. Even with 1 foot of water inside, it still takes off like a rocket, that's amazing!
