Retractable Ski Pylon

I am looking in to getting a ski pylon for my 04 GTX. Do these just mount at the existing ski rope hook? I have the 155hp model, but I seam to have problems getting people on top of the water quickly. I think the pylon.

Only thing it says on the Sea-doo.com site not to pull tubes from it. Does that just mean do not pull tubes with the pole fully extended. We mostly pull tubes and knee boarders.
