Replacing Fuel Gauge 2001 Sea Doo GTX Question

Hello, I just purchased a 2001 Sea Doo GTX. Fuel gauge needs to be replaced. The long wired plug that goes to the gas tank sending unit is behind a sealed plastic panel in the front of the hull. Can I just break the seal and pull this panel off? I just wanted to get some clarification before I start taking things apart. I have attached a pic of the fuel gauge wire and the panel inside the hood. Thanks for the help.

It is an access panel, pop it off.

That's not how get to the fuel gauge connection. You need to test your baffle to determine if the sending unit is working. That's is likely the problem. Your ski should have an electronic INFO gauge that displays the fuel level.

No, that was what I needed. My ski has the old style analog gauge and I just needed to plug the new on into the sending unit.
