removing jet body

is there any cheats to removing the jet body? it's somehow sealed at the top portion of the venturi and i cannot get it removed. do the oil and coolant hose inlets need to be removed or something? or should it just pull right out? because it for sure isn't.

I just pulled mine off a few days ago for the first time and I noticed the same thing. I found that the top of the pump had black silicone seal on the top portion of the pump to seal the three tubes that go thru the hull to the inside. And yes, you do have to disconnect the tubes from inside the hull. Mine had two bailer tubes and one other tube, they were stuck pretty good but I pulled them off, I did get one bloody knuckle however.

Somehow figure out a way to use leverage to pull or pry it off without goofing up the hull or pump.
