Removing Fuel Tank

I just found out yesterday about the recall on the older fuel tanks. Looking at the Seadoo Dealer directory, I don't see anyplace really convenient to take my skis to get the tanks replaced, so was figuring I would do it myself. Is this difficult, any tricks I need to be aware of, or just a matter or disconnecting the hoses and it lifts right out?
My skis are '96 GSX and '97 GSX.

I live in Pittsburgh, but my skis "live" near Dubois,Pa. I see a dealer listed in North Huntington (about an hour from Pittsburgh) where I assume I could buy the tanks.

If your model year is subject to recall, the dealer will R & R it. ----Hope this helps----

If there is a recall I believe the tanks and replacment are both no cost. At least my dealer didn't charge me for doing it.

yeah, my problem is I don't have a dealer close enough to take my skis to so I'll have to pick up the new fuel tanks and install them myself. so i was asking if it is a big project or just disconnect the couple hoses, remove the strap and it lifts right out? Of course even the simplest jobs tend to become difficult. I was removing the wiper assembly from my F150 today and set the ratchet down and it slid down INSIDE the friggin fender. Spent the next 20 minutes retrieving my ratchet from inside the fender.

Anybody know how to remove the fuel tank on a '96 GSX? I was just looking and it sure don't look to me that it is possible for it to fit through the front hatch hole. I thought I read a post where someone said their dealer did it in about an hour, but it looks to me like ya got to pull the engine to get it out. I sure hope I'm wrong! Anybody know?
