Im not sure if this is common knowledge or not, but in order to remove the fuel baffle from a GSX, I had to remove the steering assembly from the hull, pull the tank forward, tilt it up, and pull the baffle through the hole where the steering assembly was.

I have a 99 GTX limited, when i did mine all i had to do was remove my seats and front bucket compartment, and take out the little glove box compartment (right infront of you) that gave me access to my baffle that way. Not sure about your year though

I removed the fuel baffle on my GSX. When I had the motor out of it i still had to take the steering assembly out and even then it wasnt easy.

My experience...96 GSX

I was able to force my baffle out by just pulling the tank forward and tilting, but there is no way it is going back in. I am going to pull the steering assembly out next to reinstall the baffle. FYI....looks like it's not going to be fun trying to get to the nuts to pull the steering assebly off. I really wish SeaDoo would have put a slightly small tank in this ski.

If you are slow and careful, putting the nuts back on with the steering column can be done. Just don't drop anything. :)

is it just me or does everyone spend 25% of the time they are working on their pwc fishing for something they dropped under the engine...:ack:
