I just picked up a pair of '96 Sea Doo GTI skis...they are one owner skis but have been in storage for about 2 years. I'm guessing draining and replacing all the fluids, new batteries, etc...anyone have a checklist of sorts that I should go over before I try and crank on the ignition?

Engines are physically clean and skis are a bit beat up, but should still be seaworthy..

Also, any easy way to bypass the key system? Seems the original owner misplaced one of the keys.

Thanks in advance, I have a complete shop manual...just want to make sure I don't do any catastrophic damage before I get it sorted out.

Thanks in advance, I've looked at a few online PWC forums and this one seems to have the best crowd.

Just off the top of my head I would..

-Replace pump oil
-Grease the driveshaft
-Tighten all exhaust clamps
-New spark plugs
-Drain oil injector tank and refill with new
-Same for fuel tank
-Replace fuel filter/oil filter

After that you could fire it up and see how she does. If it starts you will be able to determine whether or not the carbs need cleaning.
