Rebuilt 787 rfi engine problems

Sounds like you need to go through the rfi trouble shooting process check fuel pressure injectors etc

The injectors sprayed really well. I put a brown paper bag about an inch away from the injectors and they got it pretty well soaked in only 3 seconds or so of holding the start button. The spray looked pretty consistent as far as direction goes. Going to the automotive store in a bit to try and rig up a fuel pressure gauge.

Almost sounds like a timing issue,

Also make sure the pump is not binding, and upon installing, did you align the engine properly? With the spark plugs out you should be able to spin the drive shaft by hand fairly easily.
