my 96 gsx does not start up right away. i am thinking i need to modify/rebuild the carbs. a buddy of mine told me that the carberaters need to be rebuilt every 3 years. i do not know the last time they were rebuilt, my moto is if they are not broke, dont touch, but, should i rebuild in this case?

If they work... don't touch them.

If you are having hard starting issues... then you will want to go through them. Chances are... the needle and seats are leaking, and are causing the engines to flood slightly, after it is shut off.

It'll never hurt to go in and see how the parts are inside. Grey fuel lines? Delete!

i dont believe i have grey fuel lines, what is the difference with them and regular ones? and i think i should go in and take a look because it does have hard starting issues and i just put a new starter in it

Search fuel lines and youll have hundreds of posts.. Many issues, writeups, how to's, ect.

how much do they run for? i already have about a grand going into it for parts this winter
