rear shaft seal

i have a 2005 rxp, apparently it needs the shaft seal replaced. How difficult is this to do. Do I need special tools? Should i just let them do it at the shop? They are wanting almost $800 to do ituke:. Thanks for any help.

Some dealers are nutz.

Even at the full retail prices... the parts are $60'ish dollars. And a good mechanic can have it changed in 2 hours. (or less)

Get the service manual, and do it yourself. If you know what end of the screwdriver to use... it's not a hard job.

yea that's what I figured, they are trying to hose me, looks like I'll be going to pick it up and get to work.

Do i need any special tools. I was looking at the shop manual and saw i might need some, is there a way to do without.
