"Reading Key" Message

I have a 2011 Sea doo GTI SE 130 with only 82 hours on it. I just changed the oil and charged the battery. It turned on and ran great for 2 hours.

After turning it off it would not read the key. So, I removed the key and put it back on the dess post multiple times and finally got it to start. Now, the ski does not read the key at all. The LCD turns on and continually scrolls "reading key" across the screen. I tried the learning key as well and still nothing. One beep every few seconds with the "reading key" message.

Any ideas? Need a new DESS post?

Try cleaning the post and the keys with some alcohol or lighter fluid and see if that works, dirty or salt water coated keys will cause a no read situation.

I had a reading key message that would run constantly on my spark. turned out to be corroded harness
