Rave valve cleaning

Can any body point me to a good rave valve cleaning thread for a 96 GTX 787. Would be much appreciated.

Not specifically for your model, here is a write up in the stickies section:

Just be careful if using a wire wheel. I used a brass brush so it wouldn't scratch the surface of the blades.

When I cleaned mine I just gave them hell with a green scratch pad. They are already scared up somewhat so I wasn't worried about scratching them.

I had a friend that had a glass bead blaster that I used that worked wonders. I am contemplating getting one for myself in the future.
