I was recently surprised to find six inched of water inside my GTX. This was the first this has ever happened . I keep this Up on a lift and feel there is no reason to routinely pull the drain plugs. The only explanation I can think of was a nor'easter brought about 10: of rain the area and the water some how got inside. I might add this time it was not covered either. Is this normal???

seems like a lot of water also , I have mine on a floating dock so plugs in afraid if the dock sank. always with a cover on maybe the \floor mat rivet's are leaking

That's way too much water. Very unlikely the rain had anything to do with it. I'd drain the hull and the next time it goes in the water check the carbon seal. Next, check other areas for leak. Good luck.

I had a similar issue. Turns out one OPAS bolt had come out and the water was coming in when the machine was moored on the water. No issue when riding.

I have tried off and on this Fall to get the replacement bolt to catch but am close to giving up and sealing the bolt hole and letting the other 3
bolts take care of everything.

Better yet, sell your ski and get a new 2017 RXT-X 300 with S3 Hull! Ask for one without the dissolving supercharger, though.

Thanks for the info and I agree , some thing is not right. Right now it's away for the winter :( . But will definitely keep a better eye on next year.

Huh?

Dissolving supercharger? Whaaaa? I hear these new SCs are supposed to "maintenance free". So I guess that means annual replacement?

The early 300 SCs have wheels where the fins break off and destroy itself. The new wheel is the same as the old wheel with the long fins machined down.
