What do you guys do for a antenna. My radio doesn't work so well so this weekend I took a look. I found a white wire stuck into the antenna rca type jack. The wire was just coiled up. I tried to lift the wire and move it around but it didn't seem to make too much of a difference. I am sure the radio is not all that good as it came with the boat, it is a jenson.
Thanks
John

You could add a cheap auto antenna to get a stronger signal. Hide it under the top deck on the side or drill and install it on the section if it really has poor reception. Just connect it to see if it helps before you permanently mount it by drilling holes somewhere.

If you still seek more signal strength, using that white coil of wire add some thin wire wrapped around inside the hull, try to push it towards the bow - use segments of 32 inches, meaning 64, 96, 128 this is the 1/8 wave for broadcast FM, marine ship to shore will need to be longer like 36, 72, 108 in 1/4 wave lengths.
