Question about SaeDoo GSX 787 (year2000) engine.

Hi all! This is Seadoo GSX 2000year 787 engine. Never had this before. When I bouhgt this it was all split a parts. Now almost done. But I have a question, please tell me somebody what is this pipe for and is there anything I should know about it?
