I have been researching deck boats for some time now (both prop and jet). At this point I believe I'm partial to jets and the Islandia seems like a nice boat. Right now the older single engine 240 hp model is in my price range. There is a 2000 model in Florida for $9900 that interests me. Question for your experts on this forum:
1) What checks do you recommend when I have this inspected?
2) Are there any known defects with this year of boat to watch out for?
3) I live in Mississippi and will be in more muddy water (but will keep out of the weeds at much as possible). Is this a concern?
