While on the River the my 93 stopped. When I tried to start it, all I got was a "THUD."

Hmmm, water injection? Nope! I pulled the plugs, no water.

Bad starter; I jumped the solenoid and I still got the "THUD," so I pulled the starter and it turns when power is provided.

Ah ha, I forgot to try to turn the PTO flywheel before pulling the starter. Darn, the PTO won't turn by hand, even with plugs removed. It does move a tad if I use a pipe wrench, but I don't think I would need to use a pipe wrench to turn it.

Hmmm, let me check my 02 Doo before I log onto the Forum. The 92 PTO turns freely by hand, even with plugs intact.

QUESTION: What next??

1. The jet pump? Why would the jet pump freeze. Should the impellar move freely? What is a quick check?

2. The engine? Why would the engine freeze without water ingestion? (last summer I experienced water ingestion and let it sit for several weeks before removing the water. It ran fine after that, til yesterday when it stopped)

I ran a PTO check on the Forum, but found no threads, so, it is time to start one on this subject.
