Prop pitch compatibility question

I need a new impeller for my 93 xp. I found an entire pump and shaft from a 95 xp 717. According to the part number chart for impellers I found the 95 717 takes part number 458 and is 11/24. The 93 calls for part number 182 and is 11/26. If I put this unit on mine what will it do?

If you use the entire pump you will need to change the steering cable and trim cable. The 95 came with a 4 inch extension. Unless you take off the extension. If you intend just to bolt on the pump the way it is it wont work.

Your 93 xp's engine is two sizes under the 95xp. If you used the impeller from the 95 it would be way"overpropped" as the ole boat guys used to say. It will shorten the life of your engine and hurt performance. It's like a 5 speed car running around in 7th gear....it just can't pull it.
