Pressure Regulator

When I repaired my starting issue, I was running the 2002 GTX-DI on the hose and the pressure regulator was leaking. Has a small steady trickle. I'm new to jetski's so I don't know if it's supposed to leak when running off of a hose. Naturally I would assume that it shouldn't leak at all. Thanks for your help.

Yes.... should not leak.... will have to be pulled apart, cleaned and possibly orings replaced. Grab a free manual from www dot seadoomanuals dot net

Maybe you had to much pressure from the garden hose. Dry it all up and take it for a spin. If water is present, then proceed with rebuilding it or replacing

The jet pump will make as much pressure as a hose. If it is leaking on the hose it will be leaking at full throttle.
Pull it apart. Typically the lower clamp rusts out.

Thank you for your help I'll pull it apart today. I was reading the manual that MacAddict recommended. But it doesn't tell me if I need to add any lubrication to the orings. Do I need to install them dry?

There are are no o-rings in the water regulator. Just the plunger and bellows that make the seal.

Pictures from the tare down, mikidymac you were correct. Lower clamp so rusted it crumbled. Would I need to purchase a new bellow along with a clamp? The bellow has a small mark/indentation that doesn't go through. Also where do you get your parts from? Online the bellow is $40 I didn't know if all parts sites are the same price.

If the bellow is ok you can reuse it as long as there isn't a hole in it.
Some people use a small zip tie and melt the head so it won't cut the bellow. I have also used stainless safety wire.

mikidymac thank you again for your help. I used a zip tie around the bellow and reinstalled the pressure regulator and no leaks. Thanks again everyone for your suggestions.

That bellow has a hole in it, common issue from that clamp. Get a new bellow and use a zip tie on the bottom and but the extra off the tie flush.
