Premix tank to prime oil injection?

I’ve completed rebuilding carbs, replacing gray fuel lines, fuel filter, fuel selector, oil lines, jet pump oil, etc on a 95 XP. Next step seems to be priming the oil system. I’ve searched and read on this and the easiest way appears to be not doing the typical priming process and just running the first tank premix. This safe, any downside to doing it this way?

It won’t get the air out.
Fill the oil tank with the correct API-TC oil then open the bleed screw on the oil pump until clean oil and no air comes out. Then put a little oil down the carbs and with the engine at idle hold the oil pump lever wide open. You will see the oil quickly fill the little lines and done.
