So I was doing a pre-ride check, just going over the lines and hoses, hull, intake grate, bilge plugs, etc. and I came across an issue where a breather hose coming from the air silencer is resting underneath what looks like a plastic molded hook on the intake box. I was just glancing over it and grabbed the line, gently mind you, and caught the shine of the steel belt in the sun. I felt underneath the plastic molded hook on the intake box and it was pretty sharp and this is the spot where the hose rests naturally. So either they didn't sand the bottom of the hook or this is like this on all same model ski's. I am going to take it into the dealer since its not even a year old yet and its still under warranty. Yes I can do it myself but that's what the warranty is for, so I might as well use it. This is a manufacturing caused issue not owner caused. I just wanted to get this out there as a possible issue. This will cut through that hose if I leave it unattended and of course that will cause immediate performance issues. Just glad it didnt happen while out on the water.

I have included some images in the event anyone else runs into this issue. I would just say at least check and feel under that hook to be sure it isn't too sharp.

Thanks for the tip. That should not happen. Looks like an assembly flaw.

Hey thanks for the feedback. I was the last guy to post on your youtube video for the 15 steps to winterize your jetski. Your videos rock man. It makes owning one of these things so much easier.

Reached out to Sea Doo and this was the response I got back. Pretty canned response.
