HELP PLEASE !
1996 Sea-Doo GTS sitting on the trailer beside the house suddenly with no explanation it starts cranking had to disconnect the battery to stop it bit of a newbie any possible explanation will help
Bad mpem, Either moisture or corrosion on the circuit board of the mpem. Look for cracks in the potting around the edges of the mpem. Thats the only thing sending power to the start solenoid.
You have an mpem. No cdi on these.
It serves as a rev limiter, start/stop activator and power distributor but doesn't do any cdi functions. Thats why they call it a multi purpose electronic module. But yes its that module inside that grey box is the one that does it all.
Ok so I’m not alone !
I replaced the solenoid had it out last night running great
So far the “ghost “ hasn’t tried to start it again I left the brand new battery connected and it was completely dead this morning
Something is drawing power
keep thinking I should give up and buy new ones but other than a few quirky issues this pair of 25 yr olds just run so nice !(when they are running)
