Done searches and haven't found anything yet, but if the poppet valve is stuck open can it prevent the telltale from discharging water even at high speed. Obviously I have no flow at all out of my telltale on the water. Just got the boat, but I did pull the outlet hose from the expansin chamber and had good flow, and no overheating alarm. I know I need to check the telltale for restriction. Also under the poppet housing is a little wet whichmakes me think the diaphram is bad. also My boat is in the water, If i tried to flush it would the extra water flood the exhaust into the engine? Thanks

No. The pee hole on your boat is fed from the top of the pipe, and even if the valve is dumping more water in the water box that it should be... you should still have plenty of water going into your pipe.

I would make sure you aren't overheating your pipe, or engine.
