Pop no start ?!

Hey guys! So taking one of my skis around the lake for the first pass of the day. It was running good, had a pop then the engine died. Wouldn't start. Had to get towed back to the docks. Got the ski back home check and the propeller, still was able to turn when cranking it over. I am new to these and not sure what to look for. Any help would be appreciated.

What model and year? Overall condition? How long have you owned it for and how has it run prior to this problem?
