hey guys....i have a 1998 seadoo challenger with twin 717.....the port side engine died when i was out on the water...got it back home...and it started later that nite on the trailer......i changed the plugs and the fuel filters on both engines....took it back out....and it started up but wouldnt rev past 4000 and then bogged down and out.....now it wont start at all.....

i have checked the spark...its fine....i pulled the carb off...its nice and clean....checked the inner filter as well...its good.....but then i did the compression test...its 75/85....i know thats bad...

can anyone shed sum light on this for me??

thanks so much

Double check your compression readings(make sure the plugs are grounded) with the throtte wide open. If they are the same as before, take off the top end take some pics. Check the oil pump to injector lines while ur down there to see if one broke off.

compression

i will check the compression again tomorrow...and i will check the good engine as well ..to compare the two

ill check the oil lines too....

would broken oil lines cause lower compression?and not starting?

thanks again

Right engine won't crank

I am having the same exact problem, the right ( Starboard ) side engine will not crank. I have tried to choke it give it gas, and no luck. The starter works fine, but just never gets cranked up. One thing that did happen is I ran low on fuel last weekend and the reserve light came on, shortly after, the right engine cut off. One possibility is that the engine is not getting fuel flow. If this is the case, how can I get fuel flow back?? Thanks
