Hey guys just wondering what you do when you have low areas on a sealing surface. As I was cleaning the gasket surface I removed some dark colored material that looked like it worked very well in making the surface sealable. Is there a preferred product for that? I have an issue with a cylinder base surface that has a bad area of pitting. I could almost us JB Weld on this area. I also have a few areas that are not really a sealing concern but I am wondering if Loctite gasket eliminator would cure those problems. Please post up with solutions or suggestions. I am trying to get this megillah back on track today.

Threebond 1184 takes care of those areas for me. The normal 1211 is better for normal situations.
