I bought my Speedster (310hp) this spring with only 25 hrs on it but would like to get better the performance out of it. I can get 46 mph out of it as it is but would like to get to 55 mph. Does anyone have any links or suggestions of where I could start. I guess I could supercharge the motors . I'm just learning a little about this boat so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

replace your wear rings is the cheapest, adding turbos, replace the motor mounts and the ceramic washer can take it up to 70 mph. see utube speedster 200.

What ceramic washers? He has the non supercharged version of the motors. I don't think there is a lot you can do (at least without investing alot of money) to improve the speed of the non-supercharged 4-tecs. To go from 46 to 55 would be a big jump. It may be that the wear rings or impellors are worn a bit because 46 sounds a bit slow for that boat so replacing them may help.

One question though, is the 46 you are getting what you see on the speedometer on the boat or is it from a GPS? If it is on the boat it is possible that it is not accurate. I would expect to see at least 50 or 51 with that boat (maybe even 52 or 53) without any mods.
