The P1 AquaX is an offshore endurance race designed for amateur racers but is open to all racers whether they are experienced or not.
The series runs along side the P1 Superstock boat racing series and there will be a film crew at each event. The series will be aired on the Florida Fox Sports network.
There is a $15,000 prize purse that is spread over the series and classes. To win points and be eligible to win prize money the boat that is being raced must be a stock boat. The only modifications allowed are handling mods such as steering and sponsons etc. Winners of each class can win $750 as long as the boat qualifies and as long as there are enough riders to trigger the prize money. If the boat has been modified then it can still be raced and will be eligible to the AquaX Cup.
The series has a training class each Friday before a race. All competitors are required to attend a class before racing. Once a racer has gone through the training they will not need to attend another class to race the rest of the series.
Safety gear must be worn which includes but not limited to Helmet, Coast Guard approved life vest, goggles and gloves.
Any one who would like to enter just needs to down load the entry form fill it out and send it in. Racers will also need to be members of the IJSBA.
Early entry fee is $50 per class or $150 for the whole series (4 Rounds)
15th - 16th June – Daytona Beach. FL.
20th - 21st July – Pahookee. FL.
17th - 18th August – Cocoa Beach FL.
14th - 15th Sept – Marathon. FL. - AquaX Championship Finals
Late entry (which is the weekend of the race) is $100 per round.
