Went out on the lake for the first time this year.
ran fine for the first 5 minites then one motor stated to suppter. I sbacked off the throttle then onr port motor died. It would not star up but would turn over. After a few tries it would not turn over any more. got back to shore and inspected then engines.
The port motor had bad sign of burnt paint on the tune pipe and the white paint on the head was now tan. I let everything cool down then changed the plugs. It started up fine. Found that the cooling line off the pump blow off and that I had to change the clear tube on the tune pipe because it melted.

Now my question is this what do I need to do now?
Do a compression test? Pull the head and inspect?
Inspect the overheating signal as there was not beepping!!!
but I ger all the other beeps.

The SB motor I now need to change the wear ring as it cavitating way to much but other than that it's fine.

I would do a compression test and see where you are. Maybe think about changing the oil in the oil bath if it got that hot.
But if it runs, then I'd run it.

Compression test

tested last night and can out 130 and 140. I have 2 broken studs at the exhaust mantifold and the muffler mount is not attached to the boat. I am leaking water at the exhaust . I don't knok if it's coming from the exhaust tip or a hole in the rubber hose. How does the hose come off the tip?

The exhaust outlet ( tip ) has signs of overheating. It's like it started to melt.
How hard is it to change the exhaust outlets on the speedster? I can't seem to be able to reach it with out climbing into the engine compartment.
Can any one help me out?
