in trying to fix a leak on my ski i managed to break a couple bolts. 1 in the exhaust to jug flange and 1 in the head to jug. and go figure 1 broken bolt in each jug, i have a spare parts motor that was given to me with what looks like brand new jugs i mean these things are extremely clean. same part numbers and all. 1 of the pistons were melted but NO scratches on the sleeve at all. 
when i pulled my jugs off i noticed that they were cracked on the top where the outside rubber gasket goes and the were both cracked where they sit side by side in the center of the motor ad also noticed some grooves on the pto side piston. well being the cheap S.O.B. i am i figured id make 1 good motor out of the 2 motors i have.. heres where it gets tricky
the blown motor has 2 good jugs and 1 good piston but stamped on the piston dome is 0.50 so im assuming it has been bored 50 over.
my motor has 1 good piston and is factory stock but both my jugs are junk.
my plan is to take my junk jug from the good piston and remove the sleeve and resleeve the good jug with that sleeve and use the good 0.50 piston with its original jug and put it all together and hope it runs.
my question is how will this effect the balance of the motor? is this going to work for me or am i just spinning my wheels and wasting time. i did read on here that it had been done before but no one placed results on the forum of good or bad .
