One Faster than the other?

Hi, I have two seadoos gtx’s a 2013 and 2012 both supercharged, for some reason the 2013 is way faster and you can hear the supercharger, or what I think it is, it has a little whine/whistle/hiss at WOT, runs great! The other 2012 runs great but it doesn’t have that little sound wide open, trying to figure out if something changed in 2013 to make it faster. Or if something is wrong. They’re both identical machines, besides the year. Both have good impellers and wear rings. Both idle and run perfect. Both have close to 40 hours, Just the 13 has got a little more.

You can check the slip torque on your superchargers to see if they are within spec. If one is slipping more at wot it would depower that motor. It is also a good way to check the health of your superchargers. The procedure and specs are in your service manual.

Define way faster, acceleration, top speed, rpms. Need more info but could be your supercharger is not working at all. Take intake air hose off sc and see if it spins freely. If not, check slip described above.

Check the air hoses and clamps as well. A loose clamp will reduce overall boost.

That whine can also come from the jet pump.
