One engine loosing power

Hi, this is kind of an update from a recent post. First of all I am not real mechanical (and I am female) ha. But will attempt anything to get the boat running right.

After taking it out for the first time (plugs were changed) I notice that one of my engines goes to 5000rpms and then it looses power, like down to 0. Brought it to a mechanic yesterday and he said he is not sure what the deal is. Checks the connections, compression and all the things that he thought to do and couldn't find anything but wanted to put it on the water on monday. He thought maybe there were weeds stuck in there, but I see now weeds, besides it doesn't cavitate like it has weeds.

Any suggestions. Now realize that we are willing to look and do something to our carbs but first have to figure out where they are. Sorry......

Appreciate this site. Last year kustomkarl talked me through changing the tempurature sensor. That was great.

Appreciate any responses.

make sure the rear electrical box, has no water in it. Probably need to pull the carbs and atleast, go thru them. From there, let us know, what happens.

thanks seadooya, but can you tell me where the rear electrical box is??? (sorry)
when you say pull the carbs or at least go through them. Is there anything that a rocky can do without taking the carb fully out?? Like spraying something in them???

It is easier to take the carbs apart on a flat worktable, when little things fall off into the hull your vocabulary is likely to expand past the 3 letter words really quick, and if something falls into the hole the carb covered well that brings out the encyclopedia, put 2 paper towels into each hole while they are open, one is not enough to keep out washers.
