Hi,

My 2002 GTI LE RFI is burning through a gallon of 2-stroke oil for every 20 to 25 gallons of gas. Is this normal? I am using Lucas Full Synthetic Marine oil API-TC so it should be right type of oil. Just seems to be a lot of oil usage. Thanks in advance.

could be a leak…in the tank…or an oil line…or the pump is set too high…I suspect…an oil leak,,,the leak could even be in the rotary valve,,or.. an inner crank seal…and of course the tank,,,but if there is no oil in the hull,,I would suspect an internal issue.
