1998 Sportster..... I pulled the oil injection and the tank when I did a complete rebuild...(pump, drive line, thru hall fitting, motor all new or rebuilt.) I know people don't like when its done but I do.....My question is the oil level sensor has two wires.... can I just connect them together (Like when you test the fuel gauge I.E. short them out) so I can get rid of the oil level low light on the gas gauge.. or does it need the complete sensor in that case I will pull the sensor from the tank and zip tie it up somewhere in the engine compartment..... I hate warning lights on...

Thanks
Jim

Now I'm. Confused... I could be wrong (I am usually) but if my memory is correct there are two wires comming too the tank sensor... Is One of them a ground??? Basically what I am asking can I just cut off the connector at the mOlex Plug and twist the two wires together??? Just like putting a paper clip in the fuel molex plug to see if it is a gas gauge problem or a float problem...thanks again for your help...
Jim
